Time and Money Saved

Estimated hours and value the brain saved, next to what the AI actually cost.

Time and Money Saved is a dashboard every workspace has. It is in the Dashboards place beside the Control Room (or your company’s own dashboards), and you can open it from the command palette by typing its name.

Admins see the whole workspace. Everyone else sees their own chats only.

For this month so far and for last month:

  • Hours Saved and Value of Time Saved, both marked Estimate.
  • AI Spend, marked Actual: what the model provider charged for each reply, added up.
  • Subscriptions Replaced, marked Entered: the tools an admin listed and what each costs a month.
  • Work Done: replies, emails drafted, docs created, meetings processed, searches, files made, carousels made and scheduled runs.
  • By Agent: each agent’s replies and tool runs, the estimated value of the time it saved and its actual spend, as numbers and as a pair of bars.

Each piece of work counted is multiplied by the minutes it is assumed to take a person by hand. The total is divided by 60 to give hours, and the hours are multiplied by the hourly rate to give value. The How This Is Worked Out section shows every assumption and what it stands for.

  • A reply counts once. A tool run counts only when it finished: a declined or failed draft, doc or search counts for nothing.
  • A scheduled run also counts its reply.
  • Files made counts each file a run produced. A carousel counts once, however many slides it has.
  • Months are calendar months in UTC, the same as budgets.
  • A reply the provider returned without a cost figure is left out of the spend, and the page says how many.

Admins can change the minutes for each kind of work, the hourly rate (in US dollars) and the list of subscriptions replaced, right on the page. The figures follow the change straight away; Save Changes stores it for the whole workspace, and Discard drops it. Reset to Defaults puts the starting minutes and rate back.
