Company context
Upload short Markdown files that describe your company so the brain reads them on every answer.
# Company context **Settings → Company context** holds the files the brain reads before it answers anything. Upload a short overview of the company, its departments, partners and workflows. Only admins can add or remove files. ## Add a file Select **Upload .md File** and choose a Markdown file. The list shows each file's name, its size and a status: "processing" while it is being read, "indexed" when it is done. Select the bin icon next to a file to remove it. ## The size limit All files share one budget. The page shows how much is used, for example "12 KB of 24 KB used". By default the limit is 24,000 characters. Files beyond the limit are still searchable like any document, but they do not fit in the always-on context. Keep these files short and factual. For longer material, upload documents on the Files page instead. See [Knowledge](https://docs.skilltreeos.ai/knowledge/company-context/) for how the two differ. ## When a change takes effect The brain keeps the compiled context for about a minute, so a change can take that long to show in answers.Settings → Company context holds the files the brain reads before it answers anything.
