Budget
Set a spending allowance for everyone, give one person their own limit, and reset a person's spend.
# Budget **Settings → Budget** controls how much the brain may spend on model use. The tab appears only for the one super-admin. Your deployment names that account in its configuration (`SUPER_ADMIN_USERNAME`). Other admins do not see the tab and cannot change budgets. ## The default allowance Under **Budget**, enter a **Default allowance (USD)** and choose a **Period**: Daily, Weekly or Monthly. Leave the amount blank for unlimited. Select **Save Changes**. The default applies to every person. ## Per person The user table below lets you set each person differently. For each person choose **Inherit default**, **Custom amount** or **Unlimited**, and save it. You can set a limit for someone who has never signed in. **Reset Spend** sets that person's spend for the period back to zero. ## What people see A person's remaining balance shows in the app, for example "$4.20 left". When they run low it turns into a warning. When they run out, it says they have used their allowance and when it resets. ## How the cost is counted The cost of each turn comes from the model provider's own figure, including every tool round and the second pass at reasoning depth High. It is only known after the turn ends. So a person can go over their allowance by at least one turn, and by more when several turns run at once.
