Behavior
Set how deeply the brain reasons and choose how many passages each search returns.
# Behavior **Settings → Behavior** sets how hard the brain thinks and how much it reads before it answers. Admins can change both. Each change saves as soon as you make it, and a Saved tick appears beside it. ## Reasoning depth Choose how hard the brain thinks: - **Low**: fastest answers. - **Medium**: balanced. - **High**: deepest reasoning. The brain writes a draft, then runs a second pass that checks the draft against your company context and the sources it cited. You see the checked answer, not the draft. If the second pass fails, you get the draft. Deeper reasoning costs more and takes longer. The depth is only sent to models that support it. ## Passages per search **Passages per search** is how many passages each knowledge search returns, from 1 to 50. A higher number finds more and costs more tokens. ## What else the brain reads Alongside these settings, the brain reads your [company context](https://docs.skilltreeos.ai/settings/company-context/), the shared memory and a short note about the person it is talking to.Settings → Behavior sets how hard the brain thinks and how much it reads before it answers.
