Share areas of your books from QuickBooks Online or Intuit Enterprise Suite.
# QuickBooks QuickBooks covers both QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite. The card reads "QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite: books, invoices and expenses." It is a company-wide connection, available where your deployment has turned it on. ## Connect (admin only) Under **Settings**, on the **Connections** tab, choose **Connect**. You go to Intuit to approve access and choose a company. Back in the app, the brain confirms that company with Intuit before it connects. ## Share areas QuickBooks shares **areas**, not folders. An area is a group of records with nothing to browse inside: Contacts, Setup, Purchases, Sales, Projects and Reports. Tick the areas to share in **Manage QuickBooks**. Sharing an area shares every record in it. ## What stays out The brain keeps the transactions within a number of months of history that your deployment sets. Employee payees and journal entries are never kept. Accounts named Payroll are left out by default, and your deployment can change that list. ## Asking about the books During a chat, the brain can look up records and run reports, only within the areas you shared. These tools only read. They cannot change your books. ## Stop sharing Unsharing an area or disconnecting removes its records from the brain, after asking first. See [Sharing folders and areas](https://docs.skilltreeos.ai/connected-apps/sharing-folders-and-areas/).
