Connected apps
Microsoft 365
Connect SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams, for the company or for yourself.
# Microsoft 365 Microsoft 365 brings four apps: **SharePoint** (sites, libraries and files), **OneDrive** (files and folders), **Outlook** (mail, folders and attachments) and **Teams** (channel conversations). They are listed together on the Connections page. ## What each one reads - **SharePoint and OneDrive** read the shared folders and the files inside them. - **Outlook** reads the mail folders you share, one email per message. Attachments the brain can read become their own documents. Sharing a mail folder shares the folders inside it. Attachments it cannot read are counted as skipped. - **Teams** reads the teams and channels you share, one document per conversation thread. Sharing a team shares its standard channels. A private channel must be shared on its own. How far back the first read goes, and the largest file the brain reads, are set by your deployment. ## Company-wide connection (admin only) An admin connects each app under **Settings**, on the **Connections** tab, then chooses what to share. Depending on how your deployment is set up, the connection reads through the admin's own account or with company-wide permission to the tenant. Ask your deploying team which applies. ## Personal connections On the same tab, each Microsoft 365 app has a switch, **Employees can connect their own**. It is off by default. When an admin turns it on: - Every employee sees a **Just for you** line on the app in **Connected apps**, with **Connect**, then **Manage**. - They link their own account and pick their own folders. Only they can ask about it, and its files show as **Private**. - The admin sees who connected, by name, and can disconnect a person. The admin cannot see what they shared. Switching it off disconnects everyone's personal connection and removes what they shared. A personal connection reads through the person's own account. For how sharing and removal work, see [Sharing folders and areas](https://docs.skilltreeos.ai/connected-apps/sharing-folders-and-areas/).Microsoft 365 brings four apps: SharePoint (sites, libraries and files), OneDrive (files and folders), Outlook (mail, folders and attachments) and Teams (channel conversations).
